We had an ice storm on Thursday evening and woke to no power on early Friday morning. They canceled school and I had a day off. I am usually excited about snow/ice days but when I realized that we had no power (no
TV, no computer, no radio, no stove/microwave, no HOT WATER).. I wasn't too pleased. I spent the morning reading my pregnancy books and trying to clean up without using
electricity (no dishwasher, vacuum, washer). Dwight went into work for a half day and after we escaped our home by finding a mall that was open. Mall of NH in Manchester was closed! Pheasant Lane in Nashua was open which was a relief. We did some Christmas shopping and ate some hot food in the food court. We went home.. and no power still!! We packed our bags, left the water dripping.. and got out of dodge. We went to my parents house which has electricity and heat. We have two Christmas parties this weekend and we are hoping we will be able to attend them but we will see (if they have power). Hopefully back on the home front in NH we have power. Our freezer will be a big pool of water if not... and maybe Herman will be learning to swim on the kitchen floor.
