This second photo has a baby arm and hand. The face is hiding on the bottom right. Maybe our little one is putting its hands in the mouth?

This last photo is a bit hard to figure out. But the baby has its head facing us and the head is on the bottom right almost upside down. It took me a while to get the picture deciphered but I now understand it :o)
Dwight and I put together the crib today! It looks great and I can't stop looking at it and imagining our little pierogi in it :o) We still need to get the mattress but I just had to put the bedding 'on'.
Our baby's sensory development is exploding! Her brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that she may be able to hear our voice now, and can hear us reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune. Our baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — and if you include the legs our baby is 10 inches long! The baby legs are now straight enough to be measured. 
Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of her body now. Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting. 
Our baby is as big as a bell pepper and weighs almost 7 ounces. (Length: 5 1/2 inches, head to bottom.)
We had my mom's sides annual Christmas party on December 20th.
We had a blast at the Christmas party and it snowed all day. Here are some photos of our fun time. My dad is cheering because he got number 1 for the Yankee Swap.
We have two more ounces! Our "getting bigger-n-better by the minute baby" is already up to 7 ounces and 6 inches! This is a big week for the baby skin. There are now two distinct layers—the epidermis (or the surface skin) and dermis. Currently, his skin is covered with a greasy, waxy, cheese-like substance, known as vernix caseosa. Sure, it sounds pretty nasty, but this mixture of fatty secretions covering our little swimmer from head to toe is the best way to protect his oh-so-thin skin from bruising and abrasions as well as chapping caused by amniotic fluid exposure (and our little one is swimming in that stuff!). A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he's born.
Today with the day off of school I put together the glider. I am very proud of myself because it works great and it looks very nice in the nursery. I know I will be spending a lot of time sitting in there before and after the baby comes. :o)
Our baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone. The umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Our baby weighs 5 ounces now, and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop. Reactive listening has begun for our baby, even though her ears are not yet structurally complete or fully functional. Meanwhile, different parts of her astonishingly complex brain are developing to process our little one’s hearing and other senses, (you know, sight, smell, taste and touch). Mind boggling factoid of the week: if we’re going to have a little girl, her ovaries have already produced millions of primordial egg cells, which, within a few weeks, will develop into actual eggs!
We got our Christmas tree today.. its a beauty! Here are some pictures we would like to share with you.
Here comes a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, our baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he's the size of an avocado - 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is much more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren't recognizable yet. He's even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as our baby continues to develop. His adorable little limbs have lengthened, almost reaching the normal proportions which he will have at birth. His eyes are still closed but moving and if you could see him, you would see our little one sucking on a thumb.
Our growing baby now measures about 4 inches long and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces- about the size of an apple. She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at my tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam. The baby can move around in the amniotic fluid and may feel like fluttering sensations or even a gas bubble to me. Eyebrows and eyelashes are present and the hair on the baby's head is getting thicker. The development of our baby's genitals has been continuing and they are now nearing the point where they could be identified by ultrasound.
