Anya meets Santa once again!

Anya saw Santa this morning. She was VERY excited. At the first second she saw him she started to make her way over to him all by herself. Once on his lap she was a bit more timid but she did wonderful. She even warmed up enough to try out the toys that were there for decoration.. hehe..

Anya was very intrigued by Santa's beard. Santa was talking to Anya and asked for a kiss. Anya gave him one!..

Santa asked Anya what she wants for Christmas and she told him, a Christmas tree. When prompted with this same question at home before we left she had told us the same thing. I love it. I wish we all thought in this innocent way..... because I know that if the only gift she got this Christmas was a Christmas tree.. she would be the happiest girl I know.

2 and a half

Anya is a little girl now and no longer a baby. Yesterday she had her 2nd dentist appointment. She was jumping up and down in the waiting room and yelling, yay dentist! Once it was her turn she became timid and chose to sit on my lap for the appointment. She did great and her teeth look great too. She chose a tiny toy camera from the treasure chest. I brought her to lunch for a happy meal after. She sat in the booth across from me with no booster. I feel like she was just learning to walk yesterday yet now she is having conversations with me. She makes me laugh. I am so proud of the little loving girl she is. At dinner she asked to cook with me. I chopped up veggies and she put them in the salad bowl for me. Her favorite was adding the olives...

Lately she randomly will belt out the alphabet song or twinkle twinkle. Sometimes in front of groups of people! She is definitely not shy.. takes after her daddy. She also warms our hearts by saying, I love you sooooo much and I love you thiiis much.
The holidays are going to be so much fun this year. She already tells me what Santa is going to bring her. lol.
Sometimes I look at her and can't believe how fast she has grown. Not long ago I was fearful of having a 2 and a half year old. I have heard the "terrible 2" stories. This is such a fun age though. I am loving 2 and a half. I wish this age would last a little longer. :)

The big power outage and trick-or-treating

October 29th we were hit with a foot of snow. Normally a foot of snow isn't a big deal up in New England.. but in October it is very rare. There were still leaves on the trees and the snow was heavy. Branches fell.. trees fell. We lost power. I was surprised since we never lose power for more than a few hours. Well, our power was out for 5 DAYS. We headed to Massachusetts to spend time with my sister & her family (never lost power) and my parents who lost it but got it back after 2 days. Dwight had to stay in our cold house a couple nights so that he could be closer to work. That was the worst part and I felt bad for him. He is such a hard worker. It was a bummer that Halloween was on Monday. Thankfully our town and many others postponed trick-or-treating. We were able to bring Anya out last night. She loved it! Here are some pics..
