Happy Easter!!!

We started Easter morning with the kids opening their Easter baskets. Anya was the most excited over a stuffed bunny from one of her favorite shows, Sofia the First. Seth was most excited over the clear crinkly wrapping and a new teether ;-) Anya had an egg hunt and then we all got dressed up. We headed to Boston to go on an Easter brunch cruise. It was a great time with family. Anya loves this boat ride more than anyone and spends most of her time out on the dance floor tearing it up :)

Egg hunt at the farm

We brought the kids to a special egg hunt at the farm. It was ridiculously crowded but Anya still had fun. We took a tractor wagon ride to a secret location where a large costumed chicken gave each child a special golden egg. Each child traded in the golden egg in the end for a special prize. Anya got a goodie bag full of things and a stuffed lamb which she loves.

 

Maple Barn

Dwight had Good Friday off so we took the kids to Parkers Maple Barn for a pancake breakfast. We had a fun time and Anya enjoyed her pancakes. Dwight slipped Seth a taste of the pure maple syrup that is made right there. He loved it and was smacking his lips ;)

Seth's first solid food

Tonight Seth tried solid food for the first time. He had Gerber baby oatmeal. He is a big fan of it :) Anya was a big helper and she loves to feed him.


 

If you fall asleep on the changing table you might get diapered ;-)

Happy 5 months, Seth!

Anya's first time skiing

Anya had her first ski lesson over the weekend. She had a really great time and she wants to go again :) It was so special to watch her on the mountain. I started skiing at her age. It is something I look forward to sharing with the kids. I can't wait for future ski trips.

It was also nice to get the time alone with her.  After her lesson she told me she wanted to eat lunch and watch the skiers so we headed to the lodge restaurant.  We had lunch together and she even sat on my lap for a while snuggling.  Before we left we stopped to watch the pond skim competition.  Skiiers go down a hill and attempt to skim across a small pond.  It was so fun to watch and the competitors wore fun and silly costumes.  She watched a friend from school go down into the water too.  We couldn't believe how brave he was.  Dwight and I are very proud of our little girl and her first time skiing!!

 

Leprechan traps and birthday parties

Anya made a leprechan trap with Dwight and made a sign herself. You can kind of see it in the picture. It says, "Get In Trap!" I only helped her with the G, R, and exclamation point. She did the rest herself!

We had green pancakes and milk for breakfast... and Anya and her daddy made traps for the leprechauns.  We also had a visit from our friend Becky and went to Anya's friend, Haley's, birthday party.  More pics to come.. Anya went skiing for the first time yesterday!!  I hope we catch a leprechaun tonight ;-)

Easter eggs :)

Anya dyed Easter eggs yesterday. She was very excited and colored all 2 dozen of them with hardly any of my help. Afterwards, she liked pretending she was the Easter Bunny handing out eggs.
