Snikiddy Fries

I was contacted to do a taste and review of Snikiddy baked fries. I had no clue what they were so I said, sure why not?! Snikiddy baked fries are a bagged snack just like chips only they look like french fries. I recieved a free sample of the cheddar cheese flavor. They are crunchy like a cheese puff but thinner and healthier as well. I love them! Dwight loves them! Anya seems to love them too. I gave her one and she ate it up.
Here are the facts:
Snikiddy baked fries are all natural, gluten and wheat free with no preservatives and 50 percent less fat than regular potato chips.
The baked fries come in 4 flavors - original, ketchup, parmesan garlic, and cheddar cheese.
They can be found at Whole Foods, Kroger, Toys R Us and Babies R Us or online at Snikiddy.Alice.com.
If you go on facebook.com/snikiddy you can "like" snikiddy on facebook and enter weekly sweepstakes.
Want to try out the Snikkidy baked fries? Leave me a comment and 3 of you will get a free sample in the mail!

Strawberry picking
Today we headed out to pick strawberries. Anya had a great time walking the paths and she even snagged a few strawberries herself. We laughed as she bit right in and the juice squirted down her face and onto her clothing. There was no hiding the fact that she tried some while picking. The farm had an adorable farm shop with the yummiest of baked goods. We picked up some fresh shortbread for strawberry shortcakes after our dinner of turkey chili in the crock pot. Yum! It turned out to be a wonderful Sunday spent together as a family.

Sunny Days
On Wednesday Anya and I headed down to my sisters house for two nights. She is off of work for the summer and her husband has been gone for 2 weeks working on the oil spill in the gulf. We lucked out with some really warm days. We played in her new pool, walked around her yard, blew bubbles, went out to lunch and to a local zoo. Anya did wonderful and we had a blast. Anya has started saying aaa tee (auntie). I am loving this summer already.

New Anya stuff
Every day this child amazes me with new stuff. I keep telling myself that I better write it/type it down before I forget.
Over the weekend while my sister and mom were blowing bubbles for her she was saying bubbles! bubbles! It was clear as day too.
While we are in the car she pulls out her hair elastic and then gives me a huge sneaky grin in her mirror. She knows she isn't supposed to, but it's her little game with me.
If you say nose she will point to your nose. If you touch her nose, she will touch yours back.
She loves music and will swing her arms while walking around the house if she likes the song.
She sometimes calls me ma mum and pulls on my pants if she wants me to pick her up. She has become more clingy in the past couple months but she will still go to anyone.
She pulled up onto her knees in the bath a couple nights ago and then looked at Dwight and I with a huge proud smile.
She is obsessed with my car keys. I try to hold them so that they do not jingle. Once she hears them, she wants them.
She loves her Baby Signing Time video and now sings baby baby while doing the baby sign.
There have been a few words that she doesn't know yet but has echoed from me. One day she burped and I said a burp! She looked at me and said burp!
Her infatuation with our cat continues as she searches him out and then pets him. The good thing is that Herman is getting more love than before and he seems to enjoy her.
She now dislikes going for walks in the stroller. She would much rather walk by herself. Sigh. I was going for 2 walks a day. I'm now lucky if we get two times around the circle before she starts whining to get out.
This girl is a water bug! She loves water and she is already loving the pools, lakes and oceans.
Dwight and I love to growl at her and then chase her. She loves to growl back and has even chased us back.
She is still the happiest person I have ever met in my life. She wakes up happy and goes to bed happy. We do have our moments but they are few and we are just so so lucky.

Davis farmland take 2
Yesterday we met two of my highschool friends, Danielle and Colleen, at Davis farmland for some fun. Colleen has two twin daughters that are only 4 months older than Anya. It is so wonderful that we can now have our daughters play together. Colleen and I used to play together in the summers as well. We would dance to walk like an egyptian in the pool. I have known Colleen since kindergarten.. wow. Now our daughters can play in the water together!
I caught her reaction after she did touch it...
Here is Colleen and her twins Erin and Raegan...
I can't believe the little ones weren't scared of these baby calfs.. even if they were cute..
Anya, Raegan and Erin...

Danielle wanted to take this little one home..
Danielle's nephew Colton came with us too and he had a great time. He is such a sweetie...
Check out these tongues... I was a little frightened actually...
Here is Anya thinking about touching the water...

PS- The water park at Davis farmland is a BLAST but it did give Anya a rash on her face both times. Nicole and Colleens girls were fine but just to warn you... I guess she must have sensitive skin to the chemicals in the water. We have been in pools and she has been fine so the amount of chemicals in the water there must be high. Her rash was only on her face and it disappeared within 45 minutes of being out of the water.
Sunshine in my day..

Laura over at The Gruneisen Family Blog has awarded me with a blog sunshine award! I happened upon her blog randomly only to realize I have met Laura at a baby music class before. She lives in the same state as we do. Go over and check her blog out! I would like to forward this award to blogs that bring sunshine to my days..

birthday weekend
On Saturday I turned 29. We celebrated by leaving Anya with my parents and going to an Indian restaurant with my sister. It was one of the best restaurants I have ever been to! The back patio had curtains, bamboo, twinkle lights and swings for seats. Inside there was a belly dancer and henna tattoos. We ordered a pitcher of mango margaritas and tried a variety of wonderful food. I can't wait to go back!

I don't think the weekend could have been any better! We had a great time and Anya did really well at my parents house.. sleeping through the night and taking naps as well!

Happy Fathers Day Dwight!
For all of the bottles, diaper changes, early mornings, and bath times. For the way Anya lights up when you walk in the door after work. For when she laughs and growls with you while running after you around the house. For how she copies every move you make and likes her baseball hat because it reminds her of you. For all of those days you have let me sleep in and gotten up early. For packing up the car with a million baby items every time we go away for a night. For all of the moments you tell me how adorable she is. For letting me stay home to raise her while you go off to work every day. For being proud of our decision when you tell others that your wife is home with Anya. For all of the dreams we share for our family. For enjoying our weekends as a family and doing fun things with her. For our new life we have built together in the past year.

beachin' it
Today I brought Anya to Plum Island to visit my good friend Lyndsey and her fiance Randy. We had the BEST time. Anya was unsure about the sand at first but soon enough she was digging right in. She enjoyed the water and squealed every time a wave hit her little legs.
The best part of the day? Lyndsey asked me to be in her wedding. I am so honored. :-) We can't wait to come back and visit again.
