My love of taking photos started at a young age. When I was four my mom asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I told her I wanted to work at the drive up photo booth where she picked up her photos. Ha!
In 8th grade I joined the photography club. We got together after school to use the science room darkroom. It was amazing to see the photos come to life from a little negative, light, and chemicals.
My parents saw my passion and ordered me old photo equipment from a want ad. My dad closed off the storage closet in the garage from any light. I actually had my own makeshift darkroom. I was into it for a while but as high school came to an end there were friends, parties, and the usual teenage stuff to distract me. I never stopped taking photos though. Once Anya was born my obsession with her joined forces with my obsession with photography. I was photo crazy. Now, I have this beautiful piece of equipment to play with. I am turning 30 in one week and I know it's going to be the best year. I can't wait to capture it in pictures.
