Happy Halloween!!!

Our 3 pumpkins!

We had the best Halloween yet :o) We went to lunch, carved pumpkins, baked pumpkin seeds, brought Anya for a walk in her costume, put her to bed, continued giving out candy and had a champagne toast with brie! I'm sure next year will beat this years with her walking but we had a wonderful time. It was so nice to have it on a Saturday with temps in the high 60s! Now we are going to put on a scary movie.

Tidbits

~ Anya is wearing size 6-9 months.. or 6 months.. she fits in a some 3-6 months stuff too.

~ In the morning she is always at the very bottom of her crib. She kicks her feet up and down when she wakes up so that she moves all the way to the bottom.

~ When I go in to get her in the morning she gives huge smiles and kicks around with excitement. I pick her up and she gives more huge smiles and tries to grab at my face. It's cute how she tries to touch our faces all of the time now.

~ She hates her belly time. I put her on her belly every day but it doesn't last long because she gets angry. She hasn't learned how to roll over yet. I put toys out of her reach and she tries to reach them. Sometimes she gets them and sometimes she doesn't. If she can't reach it she just finds something else to look at or kicks her feet up and down. I think it is just her chilled out personality and I'm fine with that :o) I love her chilled out personality. She is such a content baby smiling away at the world.

~ Anya loves the doorway jumper. She doesn't get sick of it and jumps around like crazy in it now. We like to put on music and dance to it while she jumps to it. She cracks us up with her jumping skills.

~We may have a musician on our hands.. or just a little girl that loves music. If you sing her a song at anytime she will give you a huge smile or laugh. I am so happy we are taking a music class together.

~ She does not have stranger anxiety yet. It is a normal thing to get so I am wondering if she will have it around Thanksgiving or Christmas... hmmm we will see.

~ I have started reading her books a couple times a day. She loves them and sits on my lap looking at the illustrations. She tries to turn the pages.. actually just kidding she is really trying to eat the pages. ;-)

~ She likes vegetables more than fruits. Her favorite foods are rice cereal, oatmeal, carrots, green beans and squash. She did not like peaches. She made the funniest faces when I tried them on her. Apples are too tart for her so I mix them in with her oatmeal on some mornings.

Visiting daddy at work

Today we went to visit Dwight at work during lunch. We had lunch with him there and brought pumpkin muffins for his co-workers. We got to see his cubicle and Anya got to show off her Tinkerbell costume. We had a wonderful time visiting and hope to do it again sometime! She was so tired from her visit that she fell asleep in the car and it was too precious not to take a photo. I love her wings sticking out of the seat.

May babies in costume!

Today we went to Natalie and Kai's house for a playdate! I really enjoy talking to the other moms. I am lucky to have found moms in the area that are home during the week. We put the babies in their costumes and it was the cutest. Kai is a turkey, Camden is a pumpkin, Anya is Tinkerbell and Kayla is a lamb. In the last photo Anya and Kayla are holding hands!

Grocery strolling

We started a new music class last week. We had our class today and Anya loved listening to the music and watching me sing to her. She also loves to watch Nina on the guitar singing and all of the little ones crawling and (some) walking. I am learning some new songs to sing to her at home which is fun. I weighed Anya today and she is 16 lbs even! Go Anya!
They have been paving our townhouse complex for the past few days so it has been crazy with parking. Today I walked across the complex to the car with Anya in her carseat. The car was parked in an area that was already paved. After music class we went grocery shopping. I figured it would be dry enough to drive on it when I returned. They had paved it yesterday afternoon. It was still roped off and I had about a hundred dollars worth of groceries, a (smelly bum) baby, the mail and her huge diaper bag. Ahhh! I put her in the Bjorn (thankfully left in the car) and I filled her jeep stroller and car seat up with groceries. I had her strapped to me and I rolled our groceries home! It was pretty funny and we must have looked a little crazy. :o)
In this photo you can see her two teeth! Her face is messy because she had just eaten sweet potatoes for dinner.
When I put Anya on her changing table she looks around for Abby Cadabby from Sesame Street. I leave Abby on the changing table and Anya always looks for her and reaches, grabs and then chews on her. Sometimes she will look at her face.. chew.. look at her face.. chew. It's pretty cute. Another thing she has been doing is look at the back of her hand.. the palm.. the back of the hand.. the palm. She keeps rotating her hand while staring at it in awe. :o) Here is Anya with Abby Cadabby....

Autumn back roads

On the way down to my parents house yesterday morning Anya fell asleep. She seems to wait until we are 10 minutes from a destination to fall asleep. I decided to drive around on the back roads for a while to let her sleep longer. The foliage is beautiful at this time of year. I stopped on a road in Harvard for these pictures. Later on that day we spent the day in Concord, MA walking around, having lunch, going in the bookstore, and the Concord toy shop. I picked up a couple of cute items for Anya's first Christmas.

Perfect fall day

Today is the perfect fall day! We took a walk and used our swing.
This morning I was playing with Anya's new puppets while she was in her jumper. She was laughing away. I have the Cookie monster and Oscar the grouch puppets from the Wachusett festival. I was making voices for them and she thought I was hilarious. It is great to have a 5 month audience. She loves puppets!! :o)

Yesterday I celebrated Anya's 5 month day.. only to realize that today is her 5 month day.. oh well LOL.. I guess that is what happens when you no longer have a work schedule. I used to count down until Friday and now I don't have a clue on what day it is anymore. :o) Okay off to do a bunch of things I still need to do but haven't because I have been playing with Anya all day.

Tooth #2 for our cupcake

This is Anya in the morning watching Baby Einstein with me on the couch. She has her pea pod doll with her :o) I love warm morning snuggles.

This hat was made by Nina who is the owner of Nini Bambini where we take classes. My mom ordered it from her... thanks mom/nana! It is a cupcake for our cupcake. Today Anya turned 5 months and it was a perfect celebratory hat. To celebrate 5 months she cut her second tooth through! Just like her mommy.. two new teeth in two days. We went to our first music class today. It is called Seedlings and it is a baby music class with songs and the guitar. There are maracas, tambourines, etc. Anya loved watching Nina on the guitar and the babies that could crawl and walk. So far she is doing pretty well with teething. She seems more tired and she gets a little bit cranky when she gets this tired.

First tooth (or teeth?) coming up!!

I felt in Anya's mouth today and found a tooth already cut through!! It is the bottom right tooth (left in the photo). It is just barely cut through but it is definitely up. I think the tooth next to it is starting to emerge as well. I looked in my baby book and my front bottom teeth came in one day apart from each other. Anya will be 5 months this week. I was 5 1/2 months when mine came up.
