Our first family camping trip!

This summer has been so busy! It has been hard keeping up with the blog.. I know I will be better at it once Anya is back in school. She goes back the week of September 9th. She will be going 3 mornings a week. We have been keeping busy with summer activities and I have had a few photo shoots of families. I will continue into the fall with a few sessions already booked.

Last weekend was our first family camping trip. Since Seth is only 10 months old we were a bit nervous. All in all it was a fantastic time which we will do again. We lucked out with nice weather, a bit chilly in the early morning but it warmed up in the day.

It is actually easier for me to make a video with all of the pictures vs uploading one by one on here. Here it is!

I love you more

My Nana's Obituary

Today was one of the hardest days.
Nana you were the best. Thank you for everything. We will love you forever.

I read a eulogy at the funeral today that I wrote. Here it is..

My nana was one of the most extraordinary women I have known. She was always full of love, kindness, and patience. Her beauty was both inside and out as she was gorgeous even on her last days.

One of her best traits was her humor. She had a witty way of coming back with funny remarks. She had a silly side. Her humor and her kindness merged together to create a personality that no one could deny. I don’t think anyone can say a bad word about her.

Her loving nature attracted her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. It was so easy to slide next to her for a hug on the couch. She always had open arms for anyone needing love. When you told her “I love you”, she always came back with, “I love you more”. When she wrote a card she always wrote “My” before your name. Seeing “My Holly” on my cards always made me smile.

She was also giving. Giving of her time and help to others. She babysat her grandchildren and didn’t just watch us. She colored, baked, yard sale shopped, and crafted with us. She was filled with endless patience for stubborn little ones and wild cousins running around the house. She cared for her children when they were ill and took over for them without one complaint. She had a silent strength that is such a rare quality. She was one of a kind.

Nana kept us in touch with our ancestors with her stories of the past.  She was a great story teller.

She had many of her own hobbies such as making dolls, quilting, gardening, and embroidering. She was so talented. She was the best cook. We all miss the smell of her kitchen. Whether it be molasses cookies, chicken soup or her famous golumpkis and pierogis. She made so many beautiful birthday cakes for her grandchildren as well.

Walking into her home during the holidays was a memory we will never forget. The laughter, the stories, the food, the love. She was the center of it all. She started us all. Now we are 4 children, 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren that all are going to miss her so much.

There are so many stories we could all tell to embody the person she was. From here on we will see her on the days we have more patience. We will see her when we are generous with our time. As we act silly and laugh with our children and grandchildren we will know she is here. She is in all of us. We are better people because of her love for us. We will continue to live our life better because of our love for her.

Angelina Ballerina Ballet Camp

For Anya's 4th birthday my mom asked me what Anya needed/wanted for her birthday.  I told her she really would enjoy a try at ballet this summer.  We found a week long camp for her and she started yesterday.  Thanks, mom and dad!  She already loves it.
