We went to two different places in Holland. The first was an outdoor museum with working windmills, clog and cheese making, and a farm. The second was a quaint fishing village.

At the first stop called Zaanse Schans we watched clog making from wood. It was really cool to watch and I bought my own clogs to take home. We tasted cheese that is made there. The air smelled of chocolate and I wanted to eat the air! There were cows grazing in the fields. The windmills were the best part. They were beautiful. We went inside one and saw how they work. We climbed up to the top, which I thought was a bit scary. The blades were enormous when you stand next them and they are going around and around. It was such a once in a lifetime experience of Holland!

The second stop was the fishing village called Volendam. The village was on a harbor. We walked the streets and went in a couple of the stores. Our tour guide told us that the food to try is the Herring. The way to eat it is by taking a raw piece of Herring, covering it with onion, holding it up by the tail and taking a bite. I would never eat it. Dwight tried it. I took a video of him eating it too! He said it was okay but then his face after shows that he didn't really think so. We went out to lunch on the water and tried gelato for desser
