snuggle Herman

It's been a chilly and dreary couple days. After Anya's nap yesterday I asked her if she wanted to snuggle and watch Tinkerbell with me. She said, Herman too? This is what happened once I put the movie on. She wasn't kidding..

A day at the farm

Yesterday was a perfect crisp fall day. We headed to a farm with my mom, sister and Abby. It was a wonderful time at a place my mom used to take us as little girls. I think you can tell how much Anya enjoyed herself by the photos...

On the drive home she was playing with my phone in the backseat. Dwight was sitting next to me in the passenger seat. His phone started ringing and he asked me how I was calling him. Anya had somehow called her daddy from the backseat. He answered the phone and they had a nice long conversation. It was so funny :) She loves talking on the phone.

Where's the beef?

This week I made stuffed peppers and used orange peppers instead of the usual green.... It was a hit with Anya. She called them pumpkins!

This girl cracks me up every day. Today we woke up to her yelling from her bedroom Daddy... Daddy.. So much.. I love you SO MUCH!.. It was a perfect start to our day. She is becoming quite the little ham with such a likeable personality. Yes, I know I am biased. ;)
Today we headed to the Rainforest Cafe with my sister, Abigail, and my mom. Anya loved it even more than the last time. It's such a fun place to take kids.
On the way home Anya asked my mom, Where's the beef?
We can thank Dwight for that laugh.

The new thing we have learned about Anya is that she is a little mom at heart. She loves holding her cousin and helping out in anyway possible. So far she has been so gentle and loving. She is always on the go but will sit for the longest time without moving if she is holding Abby. She loves kissing her little head. I don't blame her. That little fluff head is sooo kissable!!!

Anya holding Abigail!!

We spent the weekend with my sister, Marty and Abigail. The highlight was Anya holding Abby. She was beaming and she even helped feed her a bottle. She loves her new cousin and she was so gentle and loving with her.

The dress that Anya was wearing was made by my nana. My sister and I wore it when we were little too.

our little scarecrow

Over the weekend we picked out some pumpkins. Anya wanted to carry them to the wagon and push the wagon all by herself. She is really showing us her independent/fiesty/2 year old side of her personality lately. I can't help her get in the car, go upstairs or downstairs, pick up her stuffed animals, etc. She wants to do it 'by self'. It can be challenging at times but I am trying to embrace her independence with a lot of patience. We had fun at the farm stand! Now bring on the fall weather.. I am done with the hot and humid...
