Happy Valentines Day!

I am so happy to have my 3 loves, Dwight, Anya and Seth!

Last night we went out to dinner with the kids and it was a great time! Anya had us laughing and Seth slept half of the time :)

Santa's Big Party

On Saturday we went to Santa's Big Party at the farm. We visited some animals and then boarded a horse drawn wagon. The horses took us on a half hour ride to Santa's party in the woods. There was hot cocoa, cookies, a bonfire, music, characters, and Santa of course. After that we took a tractor wagon ride to see Santa's reindeer. It was a fun time :) Thanks to my parents for the season pass to the farm. We are really getting a lot of use out of it and we have it through the Spring and Summer too!

Tea and cookies with Mrs. Claus!

Anya got to have tea and cookies with Mrs. Claus at a local playspace. She loved it! The children decorated sugar cookies, drank tea (apple juice), and we got photos with Mrs. Claus too! Mrs. Claus was great. There was Christmas music playing and the room really did smell like Mrs. Claus' Christmas kitchen.

Advent traditions

We do two advent calendars in our home. One is a Christmas train. Every day Anya opens a door and gets a trinket or small piece of candy. Some surprises she has gotten so far are a princess ring, dino eraser, small car, and nail polish. Today she got a chocolate coin!



The second advent calendar is the good ol' chocolate calendar. Nothing like chocolate right after breakfast ha!

Pics with Santa!

We brought the kids to get their photo with Santa over the weekend. It went well and Anya chatted Santa's ear off. She told him her Christmas list and Seth fell asleep in his arms.

 

Decorating the Tree

This year Anya was SO excited to decorate the tree. She remembered decorating from last year and couldn't wait to put the ornaments on. Every single ornament she pulled out of our box of decorations was like gold to her. She thought every one was special and showed us each with excitement.



Every year I get one special ornament for her (and started this yr with Seth).  I try to pick out something that she loves that year.  Her first ornament was a baby's first Christmas of course.  The past two years were Elmo and last year was Frosty the Snowman.  This year she helped me pick out an Ariel ornament.  She loves it!



This year we also have a new ornament that we bought at Disney World.  I think Dwight, Anya and I can agree that Disney was in the top 3 favorite memories of the year..

 

She couldn't wait to put the star on..



This morning Anya got an email video from Santa Claus! It was definitely a great moment watching her face as she viewed it. She re-watched it 3 more times!
