Zoo with friends

Yesterday we spent the day at the zoo with our friends. We had a wonderful time!



Anya loved seeing Dante and Abby and of course some of her favorite grown ups too ;)

At the end of the day she was so wiped out. She wasn't too wiped out for a pony ride though.

Big girl bed

Anya has a big girl bed! She is in love with it. We picked it up from a friend (for free!) yesterday and she was asking to nap in it. It was too early for a nap so Dwight took her out fishing. When she came home she had lunch and we put her down for a nap. I didn't expect her to really nap since it was new and exciting but she did nap!

At bedtime she did really well once again. After about 3 hrs of sleep I heard her whimpering a bit. I went up and her legs were dangling all the way off the bed but she was still asleep. I fixed her and she was fine for the rest of the night. She slept about 12 hours in it. My fingers are crossed that it continues to go this well. Her bedroom looks so cute with the little bed in it. I am sighing with relief because it was one thing I was worried about with the new baby coming. She will be sharing her room and I couldn't imagine how 2 beds would fit in her room. It looks adorable though and it's one thing checked off my list.

2nd Trimester

I am finally feeling like myself again. Now that I have reached the 2nd trimester it's like a light switched back on. I have energy again and I'm not feeling sick. I'm so happy to be out of the dreadful first trimester. It was definitely a hard one. It was harder this time vs. my first pregnancy. I was much more tired and I also seemed to feel sicker more often. Yay, for 14 1/2 weeks! :o)

Our friends got a new playground built and we tried it out today. The kids are big fans! It was so nice to get out and enjoy the fresh air together.

Loving this spring!!!

We are loving this spring! Anya was able to wear her bathing suit two more times in the past couple days. The weather has been gorgeous and we have been taking advantage. I have discovered that watermellon is delicious while pregnant on a really nice day too :)

Last night my sister and I tested out having our two girls sleep in the same room. We figured things would be interesting but it went pretty well. It was really funny to hear Anya in the monitor as she whispered to Abby. Since Anya did so well with sleeping in the same room as a baby we brought her out for a special ice cream :)

Bathing beauties

We had a couple hot days in March and now we are getting some warm weather in April as well. Today the temp was close to 90. What better way to enjoy the day but to put the girls in bathing suits in a kiddy pool? They had a blast! Abby is sitting up now which makes life even more fun :) Anya has a buddy to play with.






It is so much fun to watch these two together. They love eachother already and play well. I can't even imagine how much fun it will be in a few more months.. and a year, etc.

MS Walk success

We had such a fun and eventful weekend! Anya was a daredevil with her second cousins at a birthday party! Look at her going down the big slide...

The MS Walk was this weekend. We lucked out with BEAUTIFUL weather!!! Between the three of us we raised $1,545! Thank you to those that donated in support of my mom and our family! Here is Abby and Anya right before the walk in matching outfits..


After the walk there was a DJ playing music. Anya got up and was dancing away and making Abby laugh. She had a bit of an audience. She is quite the ham. :)

I have a bunch of other great pics from the weekend. Today was in the high 80s so the girls were in the kiddy pool together. I will update with more tomorrow! :)

Now that I am starting the 2nd trimester (!) I have been able to eat more healthy foods like salads and salad wraps again :) I am still getting nauseated at least once a day. With Anya it kept up until around week 16. My fingers are crossed that it stops by then this time as well.

Baby!!

I am excited to finally announce that we are expecting baby #2! Anya will become a big sister in October. The due date is October, 20th, 2012. I always wanted an October baby. October reminds me of fresh air, crisp apples, bonfires, autumn festivals, foliage, pumpkins and Halloween. It is one of my favorite months. Anya will be 3 years and 5 months old. She will be at a nice age (in my opinion). She is excited although I don't think she grasps the whole idea yet. She has already told me she wants to feed the baby. In the fall she will be in nursery school twice a week. I think this will be a great time as she will get her time away with friends and activities and I will get those hours to focus on the newborn.

This time around is exciting and scary. We know what we are getting into. This means we know the lack of sleep, the commitment of time, the anxiety. Plus, I know how fun delivery is (sarcasm). However, this also means we know the immense amount of love we will feel, the little feet and hands, the baby smell, each exciting milestone, and how fast they really do grow. This time around we know more. We will be a bit more relaxed. We wont be so worried about breaking the baby.

Anya gets a sibling and that is a huge gift to her. I wouldn't change having a sibling for the world and I know Dwight wouldn't either. It means having someone else out there with the same parents. It's someone with the same exact upbringing who always will just "get it". It is a friend that no matter what you say to, will always be there.

It feels like we are completing our family. It has seemed like someone is missing and we are finishing our family puzzle. I can't wait to see, when all the pieces come together.

Easter Morning

Anya was VERY excited to find her basket from the Easter bunny. You can see it in her big grin..

She also enjoyed the egg hunt :)

She is now playing with her new toys and opening all her eggs.

I am the first one up this Easter morning. The bunny has come and gone. He left a basket and hid eggs around the house. Now I am just anxiously awaiting the big smile from Anya.
