Seth rolled over! Already!

This week was a big one for Seth.  He rolled  over from his belly to his back.  At first I thought it was how I had him positioned but he did it a few more times this week!  Now he seems to be trying to roll from his back to his belly.  He hasn't mastered that yet but he gets all the way to his side.  What a strong little man.  He has also started giving us real laughs.

Anya got another haircut this week and it's back to her shoulder length.  She looks so cute!

I will hopefully get some new pics of both kids to upload this weekend :)

2 month check up

Seth had his 2 month check up this week.  He had to get 3 shots!! Ugh.. he wasn't a happy camper about that.  Anya was there to soothe him with a bottle though :)  She really can be such a great helper.  He is 12 lbs 3.4 oz (34%) in weight and a whooping 25 inches (100%) in height.  He is long and lean like big sis, Anya.

In other big news, both kids are already sharing a room!!! We had him in our room in a rock and play (bassinet with a bit of an incline). Due to the incline in it he was sleeping with his head an an angle. I noticed he was favoring one side so I took him out and put him in the crib where it's flat. I guess the sooner we transition him the better anyways. When he wakes at night Anya usually sleeps right through it. The most difficult part is bedtime. He gets fussy sometimes and it's hard when she is trying to fall asleep. I also had to stop (Ugh!!!) her daily naps since she was staying up too late and making us nervous about keeping him up too. I started quiet time during the day for an hour where she reads books alone in my room while he naps. It is the only way to give myself any sort of break in the day and save my sanity ;)
Here is Seth at 10 1/2 weeks...

This is my friend's mom's recipe and it's amazing.

1 med clove garlic, minced
1/2 c . shredded colby cheese
1/2 c. shredded monterey jack cheese
Salt & pepper
1 c. coarsely chopped pecans (optional)

In a med. bowl , combine the first 4 ingredients. Stir until well blended. Add the colby and jack cheeses. Stir and season with salt and pepper. Form into a ball and roll in pecans. Chill in the refrigerator. Makes 2 balls. Serve with crackers.
