Ice cream and puddles :) Spring!

Spring is here!!!!

Wow, it has been almost 2 months since I posted here! I never thought I would get that busy but with two kids it sure is busy! The big news with us is ... drumroll... we are moving!!! We are closing on a home at the end of May. This townhome has been good but after 7.5 yrs here we are outgrowing it and ready for a single family home. We fell in love with a home and the moment we walked through it we knew it was meant to be. We will be renting out our home and the family signed our lease this week. To say we have been busy is an understatement, but it has been a good kind of busy with lots of exciting things heading our way. We daydream about our first summer in our forever home. Anya is finishing up Pre-K in her school so the move is timed perfectly for right after she ends school (we just lucked out). Today we enjoyed the beautiful day with a bike ride and water table play. The kids also dyed eggs for Easter...

Happy Valentines Day!

We started the morning with heart pancakes and heart bacon that I cooked for everyone!! Then Dwight surprised me with flowers and a card and I surprised him with a basket of goodies. The kids got some surprises too. I have learned that Seth loves chocolate! Anya loves her new horse rain boots and raincoat :) Tonight Dwight is cooking for me! Shrimp and scallops with linguini and garlic and wine.. yum.. very excited to celebrate with him tonight. Lots of love in this family..

 

 

Sneaky smarty pants

Today we are snowed in. I was in the kitchen and turned around to see this cutie with a smirk on his face watching me. He had dragged the closed stool to the bathroom door, opened it, and then tried to finagle the locking mechanism open!

New backdrops!

For Christmas Dwight got me my first two backdrops and a backdrop stand. I tested it out with Anya a couple weeks ago.. She had a blast and didn't want to stop haha!

New Years Eve

We had Abby, Jill and Marty join us for New Years Eve.  We ordered Chinese food and after the kids went to bed we played Dwights new game of Cards Against Humanity.  Tons of laughs.  Fun fun!

Christmas Day

Christmas was wondeful for us this year.  Anya was very excited to see what Santa had brought.  I had to help Seth open most of his gifts.  He loves his new Taxi car and Little People North Pole village.  Anya loves her Zoomer robot dog and her Barbie and horse set.  My parents got Anya the Barbie RV to go with the horse set and it has been a big hit.  The kids were spoiled as usual by Santa, us and all the grandparents and aunts/uncles too.  After we opened gifts and played with toys we packed up the car to head to my parents house for the night.  Dwight brought his new remote control helicopter which was a fun toy for the adults.  Here are pictures from the morning at home.  I forgot my memory card in the camera so I didn't get pictures at my parents house.
