It seems the new thing in NH is raising chickens. We have 3 friends with them! Anya has been able to feed our friends adults chickens. This week we visited another friend and she was able to hold the baby chicks!
Anya decided (on her own) to start jumping in the pool from the side. Within a week she is now jumping in without any swim vest! She always surprises us. She is swimming with more confidence now and I trust her more. She really has gained so much with swimming this year. I will try and get a video up before the end of summer.
Anya planted these flowers from seeds in preschool. Now it is as tall as her!!
Summer has been moving along. We have been busy having fun. Last week Anya had farm camp. She LOVED it! She met the pig named China, milked a goat, fed the chickens and goats, groomed the horse, and held the bunnies! It was perfect for her! I know we will be doing it again next year :-)
Seth is everywhere! He knocked over the tree in the living room yesterday! He is starting to not appreciate being confined (exercauser and doorway jumper). He is so curious and wants to explore by army crawling around the house. I have seen him pull up to his knees too. We are on our toes with him!
Last weekend we went to a baseball game with my parents and my sisters family. It was Seth and Abbys first baseball game. We all had a fun time.
I have been busy taking photos of families. I will share some photos here for those unable to view them on facebook...
The most exciting part of the 4th of July this year is Anya learning to swim without floaties!!! We can't believe it and she is SO proud of herself!!!
We celebrated at my sister's mother in laws house. She has a beautiful pool. We let Anya stay up for fireworks for the first year. She loved it!! The next day she was so pooped she slept until 9am!
Seth stole my (empty) beer bottle and wouldn't give it back! Stinker!
The day after the 4th we headed down to my sisters house. It was her 5 year anniversary and we slept over so they could go to dinner to celebrate. We stayed at their house near the fire with the monitors. :) That day the two girls enjoyed our version of a water slide.. daring girls!
Last week we went strawberry picking with my mom. We had a great time! Seth was a bit tired but he did try picking and eating strawberries. He thought they were too sweet! :) Anya was really excited about the whole experience. We go every year with my mom :)
I (Holly) started this blog in hopes of sharing our (fun, scary, laughable) moments in raising our children. I hope to one day share this with our kids, and maybe.. just maybe.. remember each moment a little bit better myself. :o)
